Guest Experience Coordinator: Accessibility and Volunteers
korton@cfcc.edu
Kathleen Orton began her career in the Wild West of Wyoming and Utah and has 15+ years of retail experience and 10 years in the non-profit government sector. Kathleen served on the board of Children’s Resource Center, which serves infants and toddlers with developmental delays. Through this experience, she launched into a career as a lobbyist for 14 similar nonprofits in Wyoming. Kathleen left this career as the travel demands became too much while raising her 4 children; so, she opened 2 retail boutiques instead!
As Guest Experience Coordinator at the Wilson Center, Kathleen is able to streamline her diverse background into providing a wonderful experience to ALL guests. Kathleen manages all 450 Wilson Center Volunteer Stars and instills her passion for sales, customer service, non-profit/volunteer experience and small business to all of them! You may have noticed!
About 100 years ago, Kathleen received a B.S. degree in Geography from Brigham Young University. Her biggest goal in life is to help people with all abilities live a rich and inclusive lifestyle. She is a self described “foodie” and can easily be bribed into doing things if they include food.
