Katie Solinski was born and raised in New Jersey. She made her way to North Carolina in 2014 to attend the University of North Carolina Wilmington. At UNCW, Katie became heavily involved in student activities, holding leadership positions in organizations across campus. She discovered her passion for event planning with the Association for Campus Entertainment, UNCW’s student programming board, where she was the Spirit Chair, then Vice President of Membership.
Katie began her career at the Wilson Center in January of 2018 as an intern, but prior to that, was an intern at Screen Gem Studios in Wilmington and at Vertigo Entertainment in Los Angeles. After graduating from the UNCW in May of 2018 with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies and Film Studies, she worked part-time as a Marketing & Operations Assistant and is now full-time as a Guest Experience Coordinator overseeing Rentals & Branding. As somewhat of an internship expert herself, Katie also oversees the Wilson Center Internship Program with UNCW.
Outside of work, Katie spends an exorbitant amount of time binging TV shows and reading. She also enjoys baking and spending time with family.
