Kristin Pinder—affectionately called by her initials, “KP”—has worked in higher education and event programming in different capacities for the last decade. At the Wilson Center, Pinder coordinates the logistics of special projects and manages the Wilma W. Daniels Gallery.
Pinder earned an English degree from Elon University and a master’s degree in Higher Education from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. Her first experience working in event programming was at Elon University, when she interned at Cultural and Special Events for the college as a student, which continues to inspire her appreciation for the performing arts and their transformative power.
Before joining the staff at the Wilson Center, Pinder worked to manage day-to-day operations and the artist residency activities of both the UNCW Presents Leadership Lecture series and the Arts in Action series, and served as the Technology & Communication Specialist for Transition Programs at the university.
In her spare time, Pinder is an avid reader and an amateur painter.
