Guest Experience Coordinator: Artist Services
zpluer@cfcc.edu
Originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Zachary Pluer has 15+years of experience in hospitality and event management. Zach spent the greater part of his 20s as lead vocalist/guitarist in an indie touring band (Herman Astro), self-booking tours, handling press and writing music. He spent the rest of his time moonlighting as management in coffee shops, restaurants and private ESL instruction. In 2013, Zach and his wife decided to move to North Carolina and Zach began his career on the other side of the stanchions – at the historic Carolina Theatre in Durham.
At the Wilson Center, Zach takes great pride in providing exceptional guest experiences to both tour and ticket-holders alike. Handling artist services, concessions and front-of-house staff supervision, he has found an opportunity which perfectly blends his background as a performer and service-industry professional.
Zach received a B.A. in English and Spanish (he’s bilingual) from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. When he’s not working, he enjoys the outdoors with his wife, Chaundra, and absolutely perfectly- behaved and overly-lovable pitbull, Nacho.
